The Wine
A nose of lime-zest and vanilla with light flint. The palate has a citrus mineral line with yellow peach that sits on a buttery-biscuit-base. It has lingering weight and power with driving natural acidity.
Drinking beautifully at release, it will continue to develop with bottle age and careful cellaring.
Enjoy now or drink/cellar to 2030.
Suggested serving temperature 10-14C.
The Winemaking
Made at CRFT winery Carey Gully. Hand-picked on April 19, whole-bunch pressed to tank and transferred to oak the following day. Wild barrel fermented on full solids. 9 months in 100% French oak, 45% new. Full wild MLF and lees stirring throughout maturation. 100% natural acidity. Unfined and lightly filtered. Vegan friendly.
The Vineyard
Estate-owned, managed and farmed, the 5-acre Arranmore Vineyard has been farmed organically since Frewin & Candice took ownership in January 2016.NASAA Certified Organic since February 2019.
There are just 8 rows of Chardonnay planted at Arranmore yielding a very limited quantity each year.
