The Wine
Bright with a green tint. Limes, flint, and honey dew melon on the nose. The pallet is linier with an almost crumbly texture, like a good cheddar, or short bread. The biscuity finish is a delight. Certified In Conversion. Serve 9-11C.
12.0% alc/vol. 

Cellaring
Enjoy at release or drink/cellar until 2030+.


Winemaking
Made by Candice and Frew at the CRFT winery in Carey Gully. Harvested on the 29th Feb.
Whole-bunch pressed to tank then transferred to oak for wild ferment on full solids. Matured in 100% French oak, 50% 1 & 2yo barrels. Partial wild MLF with regular lees stirring. 6 months in oak. Bottled Dec 2024. Vegan friendly.


The Vineyard
There's no direct route to the Lansdowne Vineyards. No matter how you approach it you will need to tackle some of the most rugged and picturesque parts of the hills. As you get closer to Forreston the landscape opens-up and you are welcomed to a countryside of rolling hills, orchards, and vineyards.

You would be mistaken if you thought it was just another vineyard as you approach it, because it's what lies beneath that makes this vineyard unique! The vineyard has this blue-black cracking clay, (a high iron content clay) and the vineyard is blessed with cold yet frost-free nights.
