The Wine
Bright with a green tint.
Limes, flint, and honeydew melon on the nose.
The palate is linear with an almost crumbly texture, like a good cheddar or shortbread. The biscuity finish is a delight.
12.0% alc/vol.
Certified Organic Wine – EU and Southern Cross Certified

Enjoy at release or drink/cellar until 2031.

Winemaking
Made by Candice and Frewin at the CRFT winery in Carey Gully.
Hand-picked, then whole-bunch pressed and fermented in oak on full solids. Partial wild MLF and maturation on full ferment lees with occasional lees stirring. 8 months in 100% French oak, 20% new. Vegan-friendly.

The Vineyard
There's no direct route to the Lansdowne Vineyards. No matter how you approach it, you will need to tackle some of the most rugged and picturesque parts of the hills. As you get closer to Forreston, the landscape opens up, and you are welcomed to a countryside of rolling hills, orchards, and vineyards.

You would be mistaken if you thought it was just another vineyard as you approach it, because it's what lies beneath that makes this vineyard unique! The vineyard has blue-black cracking clay (a high-iron-content clay), and it’s blessed with cold yet frost-free nights.

Organically farmed since 2018, certified organic from 2025.
