The colour sparkles like a fancy light-yellow diamond.
Citrus flowers, hops, and apricots and cream jelly lollies are lifted on the nose.
The palate is linear, direct and has a crackle and pop again this year! This could be a signature of the vineyard….

Winemaking
Made by Candice and Frew at the CRFT winery in Carey Gully. Harvested on 26th February 2024. Whole-bunch pressed to tank then transferred to older seasoned (neutral) French barriques for barrel fermentation on full solids. 100% wild yeast ferment. Full wild MLF and regular lees stirring. Approx. 2 months in barrel.
Bottled June 2024. Vegan friendly.

Mt Bera Vineyard
The drive through the hills from CRFT HQ to Mt Bera is a winding and picturesque experience. The gorge section from Cudlee Creek to the gate gives you no choice but to be immersed in it. From the road, the rugged terrain makes a vineyard seem unlikely, but as you twist up the hill you are rewarded with an amphitheatre with a vineyard that stretches from the hill-top down.

The Mt Bera Gruner vineyard has a three-sided cold-catchment with the only drainage going down to the Karrawirra Parri (Torrens) Gorge. This provides unique conditions producing a huge diurnal variation of 15-20C. These conditions favour notes of pepper, spice and higher natural acidity. Certified organic from June 2023.
