Soil: Bright orange clay with a rocky gravel, ironstone, sandstone and quartz mix.

The Winemaking

100% Adelaide Hills Gewürztraminer

Picked in the early-morning cool, followed by 24 hours’ skin contact in the press.

Gently pressed followed by wild fermentation on full solids.

Fermented cool and slow in a stainless steel tank to preserve the purity of vineyard & fruit, followed by time on lees for mouthfeel.

Unfined and crafted with minimal additives, all CRFT wines are vegan.

Bottled on 15th June 2016, 170 dozen produced.

Hand-made by Candice Helbig & Frewin Ries in the Piccadilly Valley, Adelaide Hills.

The Wine

Gewurztraminer ripens unevenly on the vine, which is a blessing when it comes to the winemaking. The result?... a spectrum of flavours as well as a kick of natural acidity from the less-ripe berries.

Lifted with lychee, quince and delicate citrus blossom. Grapefruit undernotes and scented rose. Fresh and light-bodied, utterly smashable, with a good whack of texture to-boot.

Drinking: Ready to drink at release, cellar to 2026.

Alcohol: 12% alc/vol

GF / sugar - dry

RRP: $27

Release: 31st Oct 2016

The Wine

Polished, precise and all things nice. Typically Ebenezer, dense, dark and packed full of flavour, with cardamom spice and sweet fruit. The wine from the ancient gnarly rocks and vibrant orange clays yields blackcurrant and cranberry fruit with notes of leather and blackberry jam. It finishes with power and earth.

Drinking...Ready to drink upon release or cellar to 2034.

Alcohol 14% alc/vol

The Wine

This Austrian native is proving to be the superstar variety of the Adelaide Hills, and without doubt, has found its second home.

Similar in style to the Austrian classed “Federspiel” Grüner Veltliner.  Medium bodied with delicate fruit, peppery notes and a minerally backbone.

Delicate white pear and stone fruits together with warm fennel seed spice and white pepper, our Grüner has loads of interest.

The palate is all about purity of site, with textural layers, lingering acidity and spice.

Food... Grüner Veltliner loves Seafood & Asian cuisine. Pairing with cheese will really bring out the Grüner spice.

Drinking... Enjoy now or allow to mature to 2018.

The Wine

The pickers always complain about picking this vineyard and rightly so – this block is steep & it’s a big hill to climb for not many bunches of grapes.

Complex and intriguing, raspberry fruits with Kaffir lime leaf. This masculine Pinot shows well-structured tannins and a solid minerality, you can almost taste the ironstone.

Drinking... Drink now or cellar for 10+ years.
