The Arranmore Vineyard
Owned, managed and farmed by Frewin & Candice, the 5 acre Arranmore Vineyard planted from 1995-1998, is situated at Carey Gully in the Piccadilly Valley (Adelaide Hills).
Organically farmed since January 2016, it was certified in April 2018 as ‘In-Conversion to organic’ by NASAA.
Full NASAA Organic certification to follow in Jan 2019.
The vineyard is east facing and sits at 550 meters above sea level.
100% NASAA Certified ‘IN-CONVERSION TO ORGANIC’ Pinot Noir grapes and wine.
Hand-picked and hand-sorted to tank, 100% whole bunches. Cold soaked prior to wild fermentation on skins. Pressed to barrel once dry.
40% new oak, 60% older used oak, 100% French, 6 month barrel maturation.
Wild ferment, unfined, unfiltered, vegan.
Bottled October 2018, 55 dozen.
Lifted and distinct, caraway seeds, rhubarb, strawberries and cream. Earthy and broody with bright fruit undertones. Benefits from a little time to open.
Ready to drink at release, cellar up to 5 years.
Alcohol 12.5% alc/vol.
